It’s that time of the year again when the world’s largest photography festival takes over Toronto. The Scotiabank CONTACT Photography Festival is a month-long event opening today May 1st and wrapping on May 31st. The theme for the 15th annual photography festival is Figure + Ground which focuses on our relationship to the environment and how photographic images alter perception. This year’s festival showcases Canadian and international artists at more than 200 venues across Toronto as well as public installations on billboards and in subways. The festival also offers portfolio reviews, workshops, seminars as well as films and documentaries with the participation of TVO with its Photography Month programming.
