In From The Vault I’m sharing a blast from the past, a picture I’ve created a while ago that I’ve recently stumbled upon.

For the first edition of From The Vault I chose an image that I’ve made using the polaroid transfer technique. This technique can be produced using a Polaroid camera but I didn’t own one at that time therefore I used a different procedure. The starting point was a digital file so I had to turn it into a slide, you know just like the ones our parents were using in the 80’s to show vacation pictures with a slide carousel/projector.  Once you have a slide you need to expose the picture on a polaroid 669 (or 559) or Fuji FP100c film using a slide printer. Then you have to peel it apart, place it a paper or any material of your choice (for this one a used watercolor paper), pressing firmly with a roller to transfer the image on the surface and voilà you got an image with a unique look!
